Wednesday's Words

She Walks In Beauty

She walks in beauty, like the night
  Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that 's best of dark and bright
  Meet in her aspect and her eyes:
Thus mellow'd to that tender light
  Which heaven to gaudy day denies.
One shade the more, one ray the less,
  Had half impair'd the nameless grace
Which waves in every raven tress,
  Or softly lightens o'er her face;
Where thoughts serenely sweet express
  How pure, how dear their dwelling-place.

And on that cheek, and o'er that brow,
  So soft, so calm, yet eloquent,
The smiles that win, the tints that glow,
  But tell of days in goodness spent,
A mind at peace with all below,
  A heart whose love is innocent!

George Gordon
Lord Byron

What amazing words to have written about you by an admirer. Where is this pure romance and adoration today??

Just a thought for you to ponder...note to all: give the object of your affection some romantic words and see what happens!

Wednesday's Words

Going to start something new since I am not ready to fully share yet. Each Wednesday will feature a poem, words that have spoken to me, make me smile, or just that I want to share. Today's poem is from my favorite poet, Robert Frost.

Enjoy!

Reluctance

Out through the fields and the woods
And over the walls I have wended;
I have climbed the hills of view
And looked at the world, and descended;
I have come by the highway home,
And lo, it is ended.

The leaves are all dead on the ground,
Save those that the oak is keeping
To ravel them one by one
And let them go scraping and creeping
Out over the crusted snow,
When others are sleeping.

And the dead leaves lie huddled and still,
No longer blown hither and thither;
The last lone aster is gone;
The flowers of the witch-hazel wither;
The heart is still aching to seek,
But the feet question 'Whither?'

Ah, when to the heart of man
Was it ever less than a treason
To go with the drift of things,
To yield with a grace to reason,
And bow and accept the end
Of a love or a season?

Finding my Voice

It's been a bit since my last post, not sure why, because there has been plenty I have wanted to say, even started writing some of it on paper and some in my head. I am not sure if I am ready to put it all out there, open up for all to see.  Also, not completely certain what direction I want this blog to take. Maybe that's what makes the tumblr so easy, someone else opened up first and I am able to add my own thoughts, hopes, dreams to them without much soul-searching.

Am I worried about being judged? Or will my few readers think differently of me if I open up? Am I ok with being exposed, vulnerable, out there for world to see(world being the few of you who are kind enough to follow)? Yes, yes, & yes!

I was not raised to air dirty laundry or discuss things I have on here (much less know about some of them). I value my seclusion & privacy so. I like the safety of my walls, my fortress; the pretty sad princess in the tower coddled by the townspeople.

So this is all a new journey for me, an exciting, revealing journey  but very new and scary just the same.

Give me some time, stick around, I will be back!

Sexy Saturday Quote

"Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon. They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same."

 by: Flavia Weedn

There are those who pass through our lives for an hour, a day, a week, a month, a season, or a lifetime.  As the eternal, optimistic romantic, I believe they all touch our hearts for a reason and for that we are bettered; because we opened up, let them in, and for that moment however so brief we were connected and kindred.

Happy Saturday.

"What are you doing tonight?"..."Nuthin"

"I've always wanted to go out in the fields and take off our shoes and walk through the grass with you..."

After the walk, let's swim in that cool green pool at the bottom of the falls. Slowly unzip my frilly dress, and while we remove the rest of our clothes,let's kiss and touch as we do. We can hold hands as we take those steps into the cool, dark unknown. Knowing we are safe with each other; surrounded by nothing but peace, quiet, and stillness. Very few other sounds, just those of nature and our lovers' moonlight swim. The light sounds of the water, our whispered secrets, kisses, and touches. We hold dearly to each other in the water, gliding seamlessly as one, smiling into the darkness with each touch & kiss, knowing the other is smiling back.  Let's get lost in this moment as the rest of the world fades away. This is our private Eden, our secret romantic spot to spend these hot summer nights.
Pull me to you, at first just holding me tightly, both of us loving being so close. I wrap my legs around your waist and slide my arms around your neck. My hands in your hair, as I kiss and nuzzle your neck and ears. We cling to each other never wanting this private, peaceful amazing moment to end. We float in the moonlight, kissing & whispering then making love and enjoying each other's bodies fully in our own Eden. Afterwards, we stay connected as only lovers are. Face to face, lips brushing, arms wrapped tightly, bodies joined; enjoying the glow of our previous passion.

So, what are you doing tonight?
